Stepping up in the world of Wireless.

I just took delivery of my new Android Galaxy S from T-Mobile. This should be a fun transition from my formerly smart phone to my new really smart phone. This Android has FLASH capability, so I can view our walking tours from www.YodioTours.com The Android offers so much more flexibility for delivery of our tours than the iPhone format.

I'll tell you more after I've gotten the phone up and running.

Victory.....victory at last!

Well it may not be a victory, but it is a celebration that after a long wait we can now say that Anroid handset devices are becoming FLASH capable. The meaning to Yodio Tours is that our library of Seattle audio/photo tours can now be viewed on Andriod phones.

Here is a photo of a Samsung working on the T-Mobile network and using the Android platform to display one of our Seattle tours. This particular tour is Seattle's Chinatown, but you can view a complete list of the current tours offered by visiting www.YodioTours.com

Right now, we're headed for the nearest suitable joint to celebrate this coming of age for Android devices.

Squeeze a Yodio into your Tweet

The voice/photo messages created with Yodio can be easily.....and very quickly shared via Twitter. The key is to use a URL shortener (bitly.com, tinyurl.com, tr.im, etc.) to embed a link to your personalized message into a Tweet. You can link to the a player page on the Yodio site, or you can link to a page where you have embedded your message into your blog or personal web page.

These channels of distribution just keep mushrooming. "Image and Brand"..... "image and brand" ...."image and brand". It is the mantra these days, and we are looking at new business cards that will pass this test. Here is a proposed "front" side for our new business cards -- we would welcome your comments or suggestions.

You can see that it is a play off the fact that Yodio makes it very easy for anyone to call on a phone to record their voice comments for attachment to digital photos. The retro phone seems more interesting than a photo of a cell phone -- even though the ability to record from a cell phone while on-the-move is one of the primary appeals of Yodio's system. Any suggestions are welcomed -- after all it is our Yodio "image and brand".

This is the default format when embedding Yodios. This player size fits in most blogs and social networking sites. It's best used with Multiple-track Yodios where you would want to show the track names.

This doesn't look right does it? Here, the tracks are on the right and it's a wider width, that doesn't fit well with most Blogger templates. (There are some networking sites that will expand their column widths to fit this size of Yodio, such as MySpace.)

However, this format is good for websites where you'd like the maximum presence for your Yodio. (and of course you have the room to fit it)

There are no tracks showing. This is useful if you only have one track and do not need to show track titles, or if you have limited space.

NEW! Yodio has introduced "Audio Only" players.

Create your yodio the same as you always do, and when you share you can share it as many times as you wish, and in whatever format you wish, including audio-only. The Yodio doesn't change, only the format each individual time you share it.

This player displays all of the play controls that the full sized player shows.

Great for smaller space, this player allows you to play and pause, and go to the next and previous tracks.

This player is great for even smaller spaces and for single-track yodios.
